SERVICES - WHAT SETS ME APART

You're probably wondering what makes me the best vet for your pet, right?

Below are 3 main reasons that explain why I would love to earn your trust so I can care for your pet.

LOW STRESS PET HANDLING

Your fur baby is scared!  I understand how they will communicate the subtlest signs of fear, and have plenty of distraction techniques to get the information I need to diagnose their problems with the least amount of stress.

TAILORED MEDICAL PLAN

Everyone’s budget is different. I am understanding that although there is a textbook best way to reach an answer, sometimes that's not financially possible.  I have a great deal of experience providing the best for your pet with the resources available and will present multiple options.

HUMAN & ANIMAL BOND

I admire, value, and appreciate the human - pet bond! Your furry creature is your best friend, your life line, or your child’s security blanket.  I understand and respect those connections.  I know how that feels and will do everything I can to support you and your pet through all stages of its life.

ABOUT

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I developed a deep love for animals early in life, reading every animal book in my local library by third grade. As the child of an Air Force family, I moved frequently, with pets serving as constant companions through each transition.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Genetics, cum laude, from Texas A&M University in 1997 and later graduated with honors from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Initially pursuing a path in biochemistry, I discovered my passion for veterinary medicine while volunteering at a local clinic where the combination of science, problem-solving, and the human–animal bond resonated deeply.

Throughout my career, I have practiced in a wide range of clinical settings including high-volume shelters, progressive private practices, and long-term solo leadership in a busy clinic. This breadth of experience allows me to adapt to each patient’s needs with both clinical precision and empathy.

I use low-stress handling and positive distraction techniques to make veterinary visits more comfortable for pets. I am deeply committed to compassionate, personalized care for both animals and their owners.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy traveling, relaxing at the beach, and exploring Houston’s diverse culture with my husband. We share our home with a gentle pitbull and a three-legged cat.
